What is your response time?
The average response time is between five to fifteen minutes. However, this can vary depending on the circumstances at the time the alarm is received as well as the proximity of a Response Team to your location.

How long does an installation take to complete?
An installation of an intrusion system normally takes 2 to 3 days to complete. However, this varies according to the size of the building and also the number of points (windows, doors, areas) to be protected.

An installation of a panic system normally takes 2 to 3 hours to complete.

An installation of a vehicle tracking system normally takes 2 to 3 hours to complete.

If we have an alarm system installed by another company, can Hawkeye take over the monitoring of it?
Hawkeye can quickly and easily take over the monitoring of any alarm system. However, depending on the quality of the installation and also the type of equipment used, we would prefer to carry out a check of your system and devices and the time the take over is done. This procedure involves the installation of our transmission module and takes approximately 2 hours. If a complete system check is to be done prior to the take over this will require more time. (This would be our preference, in order to ensure the integrity of your existing alarm system).

Where are your offices?
Our head office is located at 14 Belmont Road, in New Kingston and our office in Montego Bay is located at Unit #9, The Trade Center, Catherine Hall.

How does your Monitoring Center know if my alarm system is working?
Each alarm system that we install is programmed to send a test signal to our Monitoring Center every 24 hours. This test signal ensures communication is in place however should there be a break in communication between your home/office and our Monitoring Center our Monitoring software would alert our Operators to the break in communication and a technician would be dispatched to investigate and correct the problem.

What happens if there is a prolonged power outage?
If there is a power outage, a back-up battery installed on your location will power the system for approximately four to six hours. This may vary depending on the number of devices (motion detectors, glassbreak detectors, etc.) on the system. However, your panic alarm system is powered independently and would remain operational for up to 24 hours.

How much does a Panic System cost?
Panic systems are installed at no charge. However, there is a monthly Monitoring and Response fee which varies depending on whether it is a residential or commercial location. The monthly fee includes maintenance of the panic system.

How much does a burglar alarm system cost?
An average residential burglary alarm system starts at approximately $20,000.00 and the final cost would be dependent on the number of devices used to provide the required protection you require. A free survey can be carried out in order to provide a more accurate cost for the installation.

Where are your Response Teams located?
Hawkeye pioneered the implementation of strategically located Response Bases in order to provide faster response times to our customers. These bases are located throughout the corporate area - New Kingston, Half Way Tree, Barbican, Manor Park, Red Hills, Downtown, Three Miles as well as bases in Portmore and Spanish Town.

Do you charge for security surveys?
