The Ultra*Post detection system is made up of a Primary pedestal and, typically, a Secondary pedestal. The Primary pedestal contains all the components necessary to operate on its own - transmitter, receiver, audible alarm, visual alarm and power supply. By itself, the Primary pedestal creates a detection field of 0.9m (3 ft.) on both sides. The Secondary pedestal operates in conjunction with a Primary pedestal. It does not contain power, audible alarms or visual alarms. The Primary/Secondary (dual) configuration provides up 1.8 m (6 ft.) of coverage between pedestals.
